PCQHRA offers a wealth of racing opportunities for Quarter Horses at Los Alamitos and on the California Fair Circuit.
Los Alamitos Race Course introduced year-round Quarter Horse racing in 2001. The 2011 Quarter Horse meet runs from Jan 1, 2011 through Dec. 18, 2011, offering a mixed meet format of Quarter Horses and Thorougbreds. The majority of all races at Los Alamitos are written for Quarter Horses. The Los Alamitos Quarter Horse meet is world-renowned as offering the most lucrative stakes schedule in the sport of Quarter Horse racing.
In addition to the lucrative stakes schedule at Los Alamitos, California features a summer-long fair circuit featuring Quarter Horse races. The fair racing season opens in mid-June and continues through mid-October. Many added money Quarter Horse stakes were offered last year on the California Fair Circuit with racing opportunities in all age categories.
